Don't mean to waffle on....

Many thanks and a big shout out to Kees Huysmans of Tregroes waffles in West Wales for his offer of enough of their delicious Toffee waffles to keep us going for 1000 miles in May!

£100 and climbing

Started canvassing potential charity sponsors this week, been 'shaking the tin' in work and got nearly £200 pledged already, plus been e-mailing all my address book at work, which has meant that my JustGiving site has now reached the £100 mark after a slow start.
The collection box on my desk in work also has, I reckon, the thick end of £100 in it, plus I am arranging a coffee morning in work, on April 15th, which hopefully will raise another £100, also thinking of arranging a training ride, via the Bikeradar forum, charging participants (via a donation to the JustGiving page) 5 or 10 quid for the pleasure of being guided around the Bwlch and Rhigos climbs!
Off to the bank, now, to see if Santander will do a 'Charity fund-matching' deal for me, as I'm too kn@ckered to ride today, as I've done 250 miles this week - which only equates to 2 JOGLE days!  :<(

Another sponsor...

Many thanks to Adam from Blackfriars for his kind offer of a couple of boxes
of mixed flapjacks for the ride..

Posted this on the Bikeradar forum recently as I think gels may be handy for us on JOGLE, but they are very expensive...

Water baby...

Many thanks to the the lovely Nicola and the guys at Prince's Gate water in Narberth,
West Wales, for providing us with 120L (240 x 500ml bottles) of their finest ...

the finest bottled water in Wales

Hi Peter,
As per our conversation, I can confirm that we will be in a position to offer
you 10 free cases of 500ml still (24 bottles per case) for this cause.
The only proviso we make is that the stock is collected from our site in
Narberth, and that we have 48 hours notice of collection.
We look forward to hearing from you and in the meantime wish you all the best in
training!

Kind Regards,
Nicola Merriman

10 weeks to go...

Less than ten weeks to go now and a good turn out for the Daffodil Classic in Pendine on Sunday.
44 hilly and windy miles - not sure if I could have gone around three times (typical JOGLE day!!!).

Daffy Classic

All hotels and hostels now booked and sorted, so one less thing to worry about - now just the small
matter of ramping up the training to 60/70 milers by the end of March, then up to the century mark by the end of
April!!

Starting to contact some of our sponsors to round up the goodies that they've promised us, organising tee-shirts, jerseys etc, still to sort.

Sent out fundraising forms to all members of our 12-man team, so get out there, lads and 'shake the tin'!
